Founding Father
King Abdul Aziz bin Rahman Al Saud, also known as Ibn Saud, proclaimed Saudi independence in 1932 and then he crowned himself king. He eventually had 17 wives, 44 known sons, of which 35 are still alive, and an unknown number of daughters. He died in 1953.
