V.D.B 1909 Matte Proof Lincoln Penny
The coins that were produced as Lincoln pennies were first made in 1909. The initial design of the coin included the initials of the designer, V.D.B, that could be seen on the rear side of the coin. However, some complaints were made, which lead to the removal of these initials.

1943-S Lincoln Penny
This is yet another 1943 Lincoln penny, which was coined in bronze even though it should have been struck on a steel planchet with zinc-coating. A 1943-S Lincoln penny was sold at Heritage auctions in February of 2016 for $282,000 after being said to be the second finest certified bronze 1943-S penny.
