Importance of the Dam
The water that flows through the Monticello Dam is incredibly important to the towns that are located in the surrounding area. The dam holds more than 520 billion gallons of water, which is used for the drinking water in surrounding towns, as well as for irrigation purposes. However, there is another purpose for this water, which a lot of people tend to forget about. As authorities explain, the large amount of water is also used to produce electricity.

The water in this dam helps to provide electricity for more than 600,000 people living in the surrounding areas. More specifically, the electricity is sent to people in the northern area of San Francisco Bay, and Sacramento River Valley. While this was all fine and dandy for an electricity lesson, there was still more to say on the matter. Somehow, this information tied into the mysterious water hole. Most people had no idea how these two could be connected!
