Sirius’s Description
In the book, Sirius Black is first described as having “a mass of filthy, matted hair hung to his elbows. If eyes hadn’t been shining out of the deep, dark sockets, he might have been a corpse. The waxy skin was stretched so tightly over the bones of his face, it looked like a skull. His yellow teeth were bared in a grin.” Gary Oldman portrayed Sirius in the films, and the renowned actor did an amazing job.

Hagrid’s Appearance
Hogwarts’ beloved groundskeeper and later Care of Magical Creatures teacher, Rebeus Hagrid is described in the books as “almost twice as tall as a normal man and at least five times as wide.” Robbie Coltrane did a perfect job playing Hagrid, and his look really felt true to the books’ description. While Hagrid is said to be 11 foot 6 and Coltrane is 6 foot 1, with the help of movie magic, he was made to look a lot taller.
