Ever since the Harry Potter series came out, the beloved story about the boy who lived captured people imaginations and hearts. The books’ popularity spawned a series of eight films, and novels and movies alike have remained at the top of most popular franchises for generations. Even the most dedicated fans still have things to learn about the movies, and here are some interesting facts you might not have known about the films, as well as descriptions of characters that might have had slightly different descriptions in the books versus films. Harry’s Green Eyes, Like His Mother’s
You might not know this unless you’ve read the books, but Harry’s eyes are actually supposed to be green, and as mentioned countless times by many characters, were supposed to look just like his mother’s eyes. However, contacts irritated Daniel Radcliffe’s eyes, so J.K. Rowling agreed to have Harry’s eyes be blue instead in the films.
Real Food Used
While the first film was being made, all the food that was used in the meal scenes in the Great Hall actually used real food. The producers didn’t want to sacrifice giving a realistic depictions of the magical foods, and so despite the high cost, the real food was used for filming. We’re sure the kids didn’t mind the real candy!
