You can go as fancy or as straightforward as you’d like with these, it all depends on the brownies. Of course, we think that homemade is always the best, but if you don’t feel up to it, you can always use brownie mix and get great results.
Best of all, this delicious peppermint white chocolate frosting works for plenty of other desserts, so it’s worth keeping it in your arsenal. You can even sub out the brownie base with cookie dough. The options are truly endless and really depend on what you love the most.
What You Need
1 batch brownie batter of your choosing
cooking spray
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted and cooled
kosher salt to taste
1/2 cup crushed candy canes
What To Do
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking pan that’s 9 inches by 13 inches with parchment paper and use cooking spray to grease the pan.
Pour your brownie batter into the pan. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle. Allow the brownie to cool completely.
Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer, beat together butter, sugar, and the peppermint extract until light and fluffy. Add in the white chocolate and salt and continue to mix until completely smooth.
Spread your frosting onto the cooled brownie and then sprinkle with the crushed candy canes. Enjoy!
